Their new CEO, Shaygan Kheradpir is inspiring from the top down at Coriant. As head of the leadership team for Coriant, he works with a number of senior level vice presidents to bring a certain unity to the table of client solutions. Kheradpir is a Ph.D., has a master’s and bachelors in engineering from Cornell University, as well as a number of personal patents in telecom, payments, and media. He sits on the board of directors for the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology, as well as a chair on Cornell University’s Engineering Council.
Shaygan Kheradpir comes to Coriant with 28 years of experience from telecom, financial services, and the technology fields. He began at GTE Corporation, and was appointed the EVP and Chief Information Officer for Verizon Wireless. There he also guided the leadership team to improve systems modernization, increase efficiency and pioneered new product initiatives. Some such products are FiOS, which is not only one the largest infrastructure programs in the country that commanded over $20 billion dollars. Shaygan later joined Barclay’s as a Chief of Operations and Technology, again serving the bank’s executive board. He spearheaded the TRANSFORM program and brought the bank to the 21st century and across another 50 countries, and raised the bank’s employees to over 150,000.
